Jadden Tseng
Self-introduction
Hello! My name is Jadden, and I was born in 2004 in Taipei, Taiwan; I have since lived in five countries.
I began my art practice as an illustrator and writer, then started photography as a way to conceptualise the cityscapes around me — to cope with the constant change of alien spaces and unfamiliar people.
For my undergrad, I studied English literature at Durham University because I felt like I needed to know more about the way people think and move about the world culturally, diachronically and synchronically through spaces and ideologies, as collectives and as individuals. Although my studies enriched my creative practices, I began to realise that these solitary mediums (photography, writing, illustration) lack the element of collaborative work that I believe would push me further as an artist and as a person; I turned my attention to film.
I then relocated to Czechia to study directing at FAMU, where I met Eliott, who became my editor, then collaborator. Now we are working as Jaywalker Films in Prague.
